I had a very heavy antique piano and several of us got it out to the carport and then it sat there for about 3 months-- So i hooked a bungee type cord around it and hooked it to my Husbands 4 wheel drive and pulled it down our long drive way until it fell apart but half way threw it he came home and caught me he was mad. What would you have done after asking 100 times to move it?

Oh we do have a lot in common. I wouldn't have lasted the 3 months. You should ask him," If we speak the same language why can't he understand what your saying?" I have the same problem here. It takes days for a 15 job to be done. It's crazy I know I think your husband should buy you dinner! You should be the one mad! Who wants a piano in the carport?

That's a tough one to give a single answer to but rather requires some exploring. In theory you strive to stick to the acceptable methods of dealing with adverse situations, polite, civil, calm etc.... But when it comes down to it if the issues are provoked to the point that they become burning issues then the survival instinct kicks in and I always hope that when that happens that I have not made a complete and utter disaster of things with my reaction. I am saying that I emotionally express myself, might need to cry, might need to rant, might have to confront and then blow off the steam depending... If it is something sad like cancer or a heart attack ending yet another life then for me personally it is internalizes. I take that to heart and it changes and effects my every thought and action but under the surface and I don't control, it is an instinctual reaction telling me to live my life as true as I can because you can be gone in an instant. Keep smiling back at you....:)

I dont blame you! I have an entertainment center sitting in the middle of my bedroom. It is blocking the dresser, I can barely get around it, but my husband refuses to move it. It has been there for about 6 months. If I could move it, I would do the same thing you did!

I don't know, I guess it depends on who it belongs to (who bought it, who uses it, was it a gift to a single one of you).. but saying it was "ours", i prolly would have moved it myseld, but might've been extra extra careful so that nothing could go wrong. Rigging it up to a 4 wheel drive w/ just a bungee type cord sounds half-hazard. perhaps recruited someone else to help push it, put it on wheels and push it..but that's all in retrospect, huh?

Yeah probably the same.
But like others said...maybe selling it would of been more sane and you could of pocketed the cash but I am sure he got the point and won't ever be doing that again...
What do you do when he leaves the towel on the floor????

Oh H*** No! Come on girlie, you dont treat your man's gear like that, even if he was lazy on moving it, thats not right, If my man did that to my Piano i'd leave him, You don't mess with a mans instruments (you dont mess with his dinner either)

I would have sold it. If it was a antique. You could used the money for Christmas gifts.

Sold it and would have had somebody pick it up. If my gf/wife kept this type of thoughtprocess hidden for this long, it would have been grounds for divorce at this point.

Piano yours! and the lazy sob didn't do anything about it?? Torch it!! and burn your bra while at it.
