i want to see live views of the earth from space.

Look at satellite weather maps. There is only a slight delay between the time the images were taken and when they are published.

If you are looking for high resolution imagery, you are looking for naught. Not even the NSA and the military have that. Not because they don't want to but because it can't be done. Orbital mechanics plus budget considerations won't allow to keep satellites 24/7 near a certain location.

If you want pretty high res images, use Google Earth. Works like a charm and is pretty good by now.

noaa.gov has some satellite fly-bys.

Google Maps can give you traditional or satellite maps for many areas.

nasa.gov might also be a good place to look

just go to Goggle earth it shows you the whole world and also the star constallations.
