I joined poetry.com only to find out its a major SCAM.....=(

oh, I hope you didn't send them any money. The poetry.com scam is pretty infamous now, but we still have to spread the word to new poets trying to network through the internet. I don't know of any poetry contests that award prizes, maybe you could check in your local community. TPS does have a subforum called "Member Challenges" that's dedicated to monthly contests (without prizes) run by users.
