I am restoring an old Cherokee speed boat, transforming it into a fishing boat. I am now ready to apply paint with metal flake.

I have Color: MSF16 Deep Marine Blue Med Flake
Size: (MSF) Medium Sized Flake Size-.008 x .008 Hex Cut
Bottle: 2 Ounces (60 Grams) and one GALLON of BLUE Acrylic Resin Lacquer boat paint.

My question is: What is the ratio of metal flake to paint should I mix for best results?

Thank you.

Correct Gun & pressure>Hope you have the paint for flake and the clear coat to spray over it> As adding flake to a solid paint wont work>It's the clear coat with a base coat>And spraying the flake wrong and it will stand on edge> not lay down> Good luck>Contact the manufacture of the flake & Paint supplyer>

The cheapest is the rattle can clear coat. But you'll still have to use real light sandpaper maybe even wet sand the clear and paint so it's hazey and then apply the clear coat.
