Missouri beat both teams on neutral sites. Strength of schedule lets see Missouri-26 Illinois-60 Kansas-74. BCS standings Missouri-6 Kansas-8 Illinois-13. Illinois also has 3 loses one to unranked Iowa (6-6). Maybe I am missing something but Missouri should be in a BCS bowl. I guess we will just have to work Arkansas by 20 and b*tch until next year.

Shows up the flaws in the BCS Championship system doesn't it?

Want I have always wondered is how the Cotton Bowl got left out of the BCS series. Since historically before the BCS it was.
Rose Bowl.
Sugar Bowl
Cotton Bowl
Orange Bowl
that were the biggies of the bowl games. It was always one of the four which produced the national Champion..

Now all that said it boils down to the dollar. Like in who they think will fill the stands and generate the most TV viewing audience hence the most money. It simply boils down to money.

That is a quirk of the BCS system... Where as I dont think it is a written rule, it is a rule that has been followed that only 2 teams from a conference can make the BCS... (see Wisconsin last year, top 6 ranking, no BCS because OSU and UM were higher). That would be why Illinois was picked by Rose (that and Big 10 tiein) over Missouri.
As for Kansas over Mizzou... not sure on that, maybe it was 2nd loss that mizzou had.

jackson- you are partially right, OSU does always (last 5 years + this one) but they are 4-1 in their BCS bowls those 5 years.....so you are a little off

Illinois deserves the chance not kansas. By the way illinois SOS is 8 not 60. They finished 2nd in the Big ten and won at #1 ohio st. beat a wisconsin team that was #5 at the time just kick out kansas i don't understand why they get the shot missouri doesn't. isn't fair.

Missouri got left out because the BCS rule is that no 3 teams in the same confrenece can play in a BCS bowl

This is the real butt-f*** of this season. Perfect all year, drop their last game and get reamed. Illinois got in because they needed a Big 10 team to play in the Rose Bowl, as per history. Usually it's the champions, however, but OSU is a little busy that day.

I'm a die hard Illini fan, but I'll admit that Mizzou got screwed. It's all about money and who would draw better. It's actually disgraceful. This is something the BCS fans can't defend.

scholars in those states in the middle, the Dakotas, Minnesota, Nebraska, and Wyoming hardly take the SAT for an common reason: they maximum commonly take the ACT for a college front examination. SA Ts are quite often taken on the East Coast, with somewhat over 0.5 of West Coast scholars taking that examination. in the path of the rustic, the ACT is taken extra commonly. You had extra useful recognize the info of the region in the previous posting such bullshit. It makes you look truly dumb.

Ohio State stole their spot, lol! OSU always makes it in and they get their *** kicked in the game they play.
