You say 'Kids get too much homework'. I say 'Kids don't get enough homework.'

Reasons.

You learn better in your formative years and retain that knowledge for longer.

You'll be better prepared for adult life.

You'll learn how to be a good organiser and how to manage your time.

You'll grow up smarter and get a better job.

You'll enrich your life by learning how to appreciate things more.

You'll widen your horizons.

You'll have less time to get into trouble.

You'll appreciate your free time and holidays more.

You'll be bored less.

You'll be more creative and inventive and learn how better to solve problems.

You'll begin to understand the finer things in life.

You'll be able to hold intelligent conversations with people without feeling inferior.

You'll be a good husband/wife since you will always have something to talk about.

You won't skip words that you didn't previously understand when reading books. That way you'll understand exactly what the author is trying to say to you. For example what does this say to you? "Although ubiquitous, I found his constant ministrations to be quite avuncular." (Basically it's saying that although he was always there, the author enjoyed his company like that of a kindly uncle.). If you don't know the words you miss the point.

That enough?
