Probably. years ago i was riding with my mother, and there was a young guy standing in the freezing cold trying to get a ride. My mother pulled over and the young man quickly got in the car and he thanked us for stopping, , he was having a problem getting a ride as he was carrying a shotgun. he asked are you worried about the gun, my mom says I noted it , i also saw it was broken, so I'm not worried too much. He thanked us when we dropped him off at the gunsmith, and the rider was never discussed. I have given rides in poor weather and always have had a gratefull rider and was never a problem.

How do you hitchhike if you are armless? I'm usually in too much of a hurry to stop and really dont let strangers (even with a great smile) into my car.

I doubt it because (don't take this wrong) if you're really armless I don't think I'd be able to tell if you were really hitchhiking or just randomly walking down the road.

I NEVER, EVER pick up hitchhikers. If warranted, I would make a phone call.

I never pick up hitch hikers unless in rare circumstances, know the person.
