most of animal energy comes from glucos e or say carbohydrate

so is the difference

in mouse a proteins converted into sugars to provide energy and this amount of protein was not available for its body growth unlike mouse b

The variable is the presence or absence of carbohydrate in the diet since that is the only factor that was different.

The experimental group is the set-up without carbohydrates. The experimental group is supposed to have the unusual factor to be tested. Since mice usually eat carbohydrates in seeds and other foods, eating carbohydrates is the normal state for mice. Taking away carbohydrates is the experimental state.

As refering to the pict the variable would be the carbs because mouse a did not have any and mouse b did as for the expermenital groupe i am not sure of thet but if i figure it out i will tell ya :-)
