When dividing, flip the 2nd fraction.

3/8 divided by 6/24 = 3/8 x 24/6
3/8 x 24/6=72/48
Simplify this and you end up with 3/2
This is equal to 1 and a half. :)

3/8 / 6/24 = 3/8 x 24/6

= 3/8 x 4

= 12/8 = 1.5

next! :)

basically when you divide one fraction by another you flip the second fraction and multiply
To multiply fractions you simply muliply top and bottom separately

e.g: 3/5 x 2/9 = 3x2 / 5x9 = 6/45 = 2/15

Hope that helps.
