No. People like Bin-Laden have said unequivocally that they want nothing less than our total destruction, and that if we withdraw from the Middle East that they will follow us home and kill us here.

No. The events of 11th of september happened when the USA was not in either of the above mentioned countries.
To be fair America did not ask for this war (Bush had been a stay at home president until that point.) to go on the ofensive in Afganistan was right in 2001 the UK and America had to send a clear mesage out that fundemental forces would never truimph over libery and democracy . Most of the public suported the Afganistan war. Iraq on the other hand seems like a convenient detour by the republican adminstration ,the war in Iraq was in my opnion unsecary and had no significance to the war on terror and was a opurtunistic side track from the real enemy , beacuse of the invasion of Iraq the war on terror has become more complcated and pre longed trops should be pulled out of Iraq tomorow .
However this will not bring about a preacful co existance with islam , economic growth in these areas and the spread of democracy(from within the country) and a fair settlement of the palistine and Israil con flict will go some way towards briging the gap we might be able to work out our differences with some radical elements how ever the most radicial will be a thorne in the side of democracy for severel years to come we should never go complicent of the threat it is and must conitinue the fight on terror in a fair and specific way and never alow goverments to take us to wars for opertunsitc reasons and duping patronic citizens for some of their own ends (oil political convennece not crucel necasty)

The USA polices much of the world and the seas. If the USA ever retreats, Pakistan and India will really be at each other's throats, Iran won't have to sneak money and arms to Al Qaeda, they'll just do it openly, Iraq will have another dictator take over, Afghanistan will be ruled by those nutcases the Taliban again, and Bin Laden will quickly have another disasterous plan in place for the UK and the USA. The lion will lie with the lamb before radical Islam could be trusted in any capacity.

I say that everyone wants to rule the world. there's really no way of how the things will turn out if America retreats. It could go both ways. For me that the troops have been there long enough. Anyway the war shouldn't of start in the first place. This issue is very controversial and there's no right or wrong answer. If there's peace talks, maybe then there could be peace.

If we pull out: we will loose face with the world [ that is what many wants us to do] With our freedoms we won't be able to live like they do and a world war will be unavoidable. It would be possible for us to lose and what we have will be nothing, Women won't be allowed to work cover up to all you can see is eyeballs, they will not be able to drive or even talk to anyone except a relative. Our world would go back 0ver 1000 years. Allthough you and i won't be here unless you are a radical ...

That is rich.
No, we were not in Iraq when 9-11 took place.
And you can't expect RADICALs to behave logically.
The Muslim world is a warring, tribal culture. They have been killing themselves (one tribe against another) for centuries and unless we swear allegiance to their insanity, they won't stop.
Having said that, trying to fight this war on terrorism is a waste and futile, at best. What we should do is to pull every soldier out of Iraq and put every dime we can to hunting Osama down and raising his head on a pike. The radicals do not understand anything except violence and since we have been cowards and weak, it appears in their eyes that we are destroyable.
If we killed the SOB it would send a message, "don't mess with US".

We probably won't but because they have already destroyed any chance for a peaceful condition in this world. Killing only makes more Killing. God help us all. He is the only one that can because they have already gone too far for all sides concerned. They should never have gone there in the first place. They should have let the UN do the job and then all countries that belong to it would be involved so Irac or Afghanistan would have no one to blame because you can't take on the whole world.

No. It would take a full retreat from all lands that they consider to be theirs. Not a very likable option.
But if we keep going the way we have been, then we definitely will find ourselves at the end of the line for the oil. Behind Europe, China, India, South America, etc.
And they will starve us as a matter of policy.
We need to find another option.

Obviously.
Terrorism has increased since Bush invaded Iraq.
Most of the increased cases of "terrorism" since Bush invaded Iraq are in Iraq.
The Iraqi civilians are fighting against the occupation of their country by whatever means they have at their disposal.
It is inaccurate to categorize the withdrawal of troops from a failed war resulting from a failed war plan as a "retreat".
Bush's invasion and occupation of Iraq coupled with his torture policy have fomented anti-American sentiment around the world.
The more people killed in Iraq as a result of Bush's failed policies, the more potential sources of terrorism.

No. The Taliban attacked America on 9/11 unprovoked. They want to destroy America. They have to be destroyed first.
Iraq is a major SNAFU. America will eventually withdraw and the Iraqis will continue killing themselves until another strongman like Saddam Huissan emerges.

No. The war with Islam has been going on for over 1200 years; it will only end when:
a) they kill, conquer and/or convert the entire planet - at which point they'll continue killing each other; or
b) they somehow grow up and learn to live peaceably with the rest of the world; or
c) they are all killed, conquered, or converted.
None of these options are going to be easy, fast, or pretty.
