I decided to make a Christmas basket for my parents and for my inlaws. I was thinking of putting potato chips, peanuts, candy, and crackers into their baskets. What other things can I add to make them better?

Hot Chocolate would be good. Maybe some christmas cookies too. Instead of potato chips maybe popcorn that just seems more Christmasy to me.

Food is a great idea (things like biscuits in Christmas tree shapes, etc) but you can easily pick up cheap jewellery and other things. Stationery is also a good thing to give, nice pens, note paper, address books and things like that. You could also colour theme the baskets, like yellow for one family, green for another. Hope this helps!

Potato chips? In a Christmas basket? Ehhh, I wouldnt do that if I were you. Peanuts also seem kind of simple. Try gingerbread, candy canes, butterscotch, peppermint bark, a yule log. Cheese is also a good holiday favor. Happy Holidays!

A snack basket, how yummy...You may want to include 2- 20oz bottled drinks, or two freezer mugs. Also, instead of using a wicker type basket...put the items in a plastic/aluminium type pail. It looks a whole lot better than in a wicker one.

snack crackers, a little beef-stick (summer sausage), cheese wheels, some fancy chocolates.

You can also go to the hickory farms website and "borrow" some of their ideas. (did I really just say that?)
