My babysitter had to hold me down with her hands and knees to get me to take that stuff. It's nasty. Whatever you do, if you insist on taking it, get pills or gels. Take it once with a spoon and you WILL gag. I'm gagging just thinking about it. (sorry, but it's true) Try Metamucil instead. Or Bran cereal.

Early in the morning, not having breakfasted, take 1 oz Castor Oil in your mouth and mix this there with your saliva for 15 minutes before swallowing the pre-digested Castor Oil without any problems concerning the taste or the viscosity. Repeat this once and you will have swallowed 2 oz Castor Oil totally, the recommended dose for adults. One hour later the bowel movement will begin.

It can be taken internally, but is a strong laxative and is used to treat constipation.
Castor oil acts more quickly than the other laxatives, so do not take castor oil at bedtime. To avoid the bad taste of castor oil, chill it in the refrigerator and mix it with cold orange juice just before drinking. Castor oil should not be used routinely to treat constipation.

Don't. It's a stimulating laxative which will eventually make you more constipated without it because you would come to rely on it. Don't use senna either.
Instead, you can use a bulk laxative such as Psyllium seed or flaxseed, but if you do, make sure you drink a lot of fluid. Also, chew your food thoroughly (fifty times a mouthful), eat a wholefood diet, give up tea and coffee slowly and drink a lot of water. Also, try the Yoga positions the Bow, the Cobra, twists, and massage your abdomen from the right lower side upwards, across and downwards on the left.
However, castor oil is useful for washing foreign bodies out of the eyes.

Castor oil is a potent laxative and should not be used for routine constipation. The use of laxatives can damage your bowel and cause further constipation.
Treat constipation by drinking water, eating high fibre foods like fruit and veggies. Ask your doctor to recommend a gentle laxative like pysillum fibre if needed.

For dosage-read the label and swallow fast.
One of the easiest ways to avoid constipation is to drink lots of plain water to help keep your bowels lubricated.
Some foods like peanut butter and cheese tend to cause constipation. Laxatives cause the body to send water to the bowels to help loosen the blockage.
Eating fruits and vegetables help prevent constipation also.

You can make a pack out of it and place it over your body to pull out toxins. My mother swears it killed my brothers wart on his finger.
