I would have to say Roy keane because i think he had more influence on players than gerrard. Liverpool are a one man team with gerrard whilst keane got other players motivated which in my opinion is better for the team.

Well it depends is it a fair 1 on 1 fight or Gerrard and 6 of his mates against Keane. Actually Keane's a nutjob and would win either way really.

Good question,[im a Liverpool fan].Both world class players who any manager would love in there team, its a close call,i think as an all round footballer Gerrard wins,but as a leader of men Roy Keane.

Gerrard hands down. He's a leader and he's one of the best all round midfielders I've ever seen. He's got it all (not in any particular order):
(1) great passing (both long and short)
(2) volleying
(3) long shots
(4) finishing
(5) great penalty taker
(6) stamina
(7) crossing
(8) tackling
and, of course
(9) great leadership.

two different jobs
keane was to tackle lead the team and give it to other players who like going forward more
gerrard likes to go forward and score goals and set things up
in my opinion gerrard as he can defend as well as he can attack

gerrard definitely, the most complete midfielder in the world. can do anything, keane couldnt

Please... Stevie G. Fitness, the long shot, his ability to play right or middle, his leadership... Keano would have never gotten his side back into at Istanbul like oour Scouse Warrior did.
