my eyes stay straight ahead. They have to come and physically put their head between me and the monitor in order to get eye contact, and at that I smack em.

Well... when I watch programs like "The Simple Life" with that Hilton gal, I find it to be like watching a train wreck... you can't turn your eyes off it because you are in such SHOCK at what you are seeing that you cannot believe your eyes! I have to keep watching it believing there is some hope that there will be some sanity and credulity to come along sometime which will prevent the train wreck from happening. Unfortunately for ME... she has "wrecked" too often... and I've had to stop watching to prevent my sanity from doing a crash dump! Everyone is entitled to my opinion.

Yes, and it always is when I am writting a letter or playing Chess. The worse time ever, my cat will knock something over, or my ex-wife has this life-threating question that needs my attention in half a second and just can't wait. One of those, "Stop whatever you are doing and look at me!" things.
If I don't, we have a big fight. "You never listen to me! You're always on that stupid PC." So I say, "So are you".

Yes, very much so, and this makes them very upset. I can understand why, but even so, I cannot help myself: my computer has my undivided attention always.
