I love Christmas decorations!! But between putting them up and taking them down... they both suck! I don't like putting them up 'cuz you dig out all the dusty boxes, then you have to remember which decoration goes where. But then taking them down is also a chore!

I guess if I had to pick, I think putting them up is worse. Atleast when taking them down you don't have to plan where to put everything!

Taking them down. I always hate that part because you know that Christmas is over. At least when you're putting them up you know that the holidays are near and it really gets you in the Christmas spirit. The day we take our tree and ornaments down is the most depressing day! Plus it's a huge pain to have to try and cram everything back in to those boxes and vacuum up all the tree needles....uggh...

We organized Christmas decorations in big plastic storeage boxes last year to cut down on dust, etc. My husband put up decorations this last weekend while I was at work. He called several times worried about where things went. I told him-"Who cares?" a variation of locations will be interesting(and it was). My pick for worst is putting decorations away-depressing. If my luck holds out-maybe hubby will box the stuff up and put it away after the holidays.

taking them down, throwing out the Christmas tree is the worst. Can't wait to finally put one up this year! The only thing I hate about putting them up is that we have to clean the house up before we can make room for decorations.

I don't mind either. When I take them down I keep each room's decorations in separate boxes and put a label on each one.The items for the fireplaces are in a separate box. I have to do this really as I'm in a pub and I have the bar and six rooms to do!
I've discreetly screwed curtain hooks in the walls over the dado rails for the streamers so they just have to be hooked on and it makes it a lot easier. The staff always help so I can give them each a box and leave them to it,I love doing the fireplaces and the bar.

neither I have 6 children and they are now old enough to do it themselves with a little guidance LOL so putting the decorations on the tree is a ritual I have with them afterwards I make hot chocolate for them and we sing and play cards
then they get to take them down
( probably why I have to buy some new stuff every year LOL )
