I was given the volume and the mass of a liquid, but the volume is in liters, and the mass is in kilograms, does that matter?

Kilograms per liter is the same as grams per cc

It doesn't matter because the units are grams or mL divided by 1000, giving you kilograms and Liter. The answer will be the same. If you converted it to mL and grams, the extra 1000 would drop out.

yes, liters is volume and kilograms is mass.
