ok so im running for treasurer at my high school and we have to write a speech and say why we wanna run and what we will do if we win the election and just all this stuff to make people vote for you. it doesnt have to be lone though. please i mean please help me just write some things that i should put in my speech or something. thanks much please help!

If you don't know why you are running or what you will do if elected, I respectfully suggest you step down for now, educate yourself, and try again next year if you still want to. God forbid you should get elected for popularity reasons and then have no idea what to do. This is a serious job, much more serious than that of class president.

The magic formula is catering to the people's desires. Tell them what they want to hear even if you can't provide. I encourage you to keep your word, but from a political standpoint you can cover up empty promises with appealing substitutes.
