Right now I'm pursuing a bachelors in math, and plan on getting a masters afterward.
What kind of salary can I expect to make teaching at a junior college?
Am I going to end up a hobo-mathematician?

Hmmm, depends on what you mean by "decent." I teach full-time at a local private university and adjunct at the local community college - math, physics, astronomy, whatever. While I love the community college and the folks there, the full-time salary is barely of what the private school pays. I'd hate to try to make it as a single dad with three kids on that salary.

Now, "decent" has meanings other than financial compensation. Teaching is a lot of fun, and my community college students are among my favorites. If money weren't so tight I'd be quite happy teaching at the local community college.
