Recent remarkable events in the Mohawk Valley include the January 1996 breakup flood, Hurricane Bertha in July 1996, May 1998 tornado cluster , the 1999 Drought, and 5-10 inches of rain associated with Hurricane Floyd in September 1999. All caused up to 8 feet flooding except the drought.

My mom grew up there, and never mentioned any big flood - so I'm going to say it was either before the mid-1940s or after 1960.
