My daughter is in middle school and a required course is develpmental guidance. It teaches a lot about the human mind as well. Today my daughter cam home with a 45% paper. Her average is now a D. The only way she can bring up her grade is to particiapate in the new students-helping-students (the develpmental teacher started it) where students give advice to students with problems. To get in the program you need to help someone and write an essay about there problem, your adivce, and if it was fixed (if not why). My daughter is wondering if anyone has a problem she can help. No, I want her to really learn this not just get credit for doing something she didn't do. I'm trying to teach her really to help people not lie and cheat to get a good grade.

OK, If I am reading this right, you need someone to explain a problem to your daughter so she can give some advice on how to remedy it.
Here's one: my step-daughter is 13. For her 13th birthday in October of this year, she wanted to have a boy-girl party at our house. That was fine with us. We asked her who she was planning to invite and were surprised when only 2 of her good friends were on the list. We asked her about it and she explained that she was popular and was inviting all the popular kids. We knew she wasn't popular, and when only 1 friend showed up, I felt really bad for her. The 1 who showed up is one of her good friends and has been for years. The question is: how can I talk to her about knowing who her real friends are? How can I tell her it is NOT important to be popular? She is very sensitive and I don't want to hurt her feelings, but I also don't want her to believe she is something she's not.

This is probably a program specifically for her school. Your daughter needs to double check with her teacher. So she should probably talk to a student face to face, tell her to ask one of her friends.
ALSO if your daughter is in middle school she is probably old enough to do her own assignments..
Edit - You can type with one broken arm, I have broken both arms twice, and an elbow throughout middle school and highschool. It may take her a little longer but she can do it. Either you are not giving your daughter a chance or she is using you.
