There are long lists of novels, plays, mysteries... all in Wiki if you enter 'lesbian authors' in the search box. The lists start almost immediately in that entry.

There are "classics"... one being "The Autobiography of Alice B. Toklas" by Gertrude Stein.

There are those under "Modern Literature"... including this quick sample:
"The Color Purple" by Alice Walker
"Rubyfruit Jungle" by Rita Mae Brown
"Stone Butch Blues" by Leslie Feinberg
"Punk Like Me" by JD Glass
and
"The Five Books of Moses Lapinsky" by Karen X Tu(r)chinsky

There are many many books and series about lesbian detectives or inspectors in... the "Mystery" section.

There are also lots of books under the "Romance" section, including a great number by Marianne K. Martin, and several series by Radclyffe. (Radclyffe shows up in other categories as well.)

If you want to take a look on your own, please go ahead and use the link above the way I suggested.
Luck--

Annie on My Mind by Nancy Garden. It's a young adult novel, but it is wonderful. Also, her novel Good Moon Rising.

Fried Green Tomatoes- incredible love story. if you've seen the movie, don't base your decision to read or not read on that. The movie trimmed the story back until it was nothing but subtext.

"Tipping the Velvet" by Sarah Waters - its set in Victorian times. I never read it, but by father did and he raved about how well it was written.
