If the liberal ideology was prominent during the Revolutionary War, would there be a USA today?

USA today has a series detailing the weekly progress in Iraq. A kind of report on progress from the viewpoint of the average person on the street. It has NOT been updated for nearly 2 months. It was regularly updated while IED's and suicide bombers were blowing up regularly. But now that real progress is happening....nothing.

Now if I was a suspicious type of person I might see something of a conspiracy here. The progress since the surge is, one would think, the biggest change for the average Iraqi since this whole conflict started. Yet we are to believe there is nothing worthy of reporting?

If today's version of Liberalism was present during any past conflict we would have ceased to be a nation by now. So, yes. There would no longer be a USA as we know it.
