by using the discriminant 'b²-4ac'

factor = (2x+1)(x-2)
so either 2x+1=0 or (x-2)=0
the answer is x=-1/2 or x=2

2xÂ²-3x-2=0
(2x+1)(x-2)=0
Either:
(2x+1)=0 or: (x-2)=0
2x=-1 or: x=+2
x=-1/2 or x=2
