in houston tx can a 15 yr old girl that lives with thier parents be in a common law marriage if parents agree, both ppl share same bank account, and have lived together for a year?

No. A person under the age of 18 cannot have a common law marriage. If you continue to live together when you are over 18, agree to be married and hold yourselves out as married, you will then have a common law marriage.

Most places do not acknowledge common law marriages anymore. They stopped long ago. You will have to check with your state. The laws for Texas are you can marry with parental consent if you are 14-17 with a birth certificate and a social security card.

According to Texas Family Code one of the prongs of the common law marriage test is that "you must have lived together in this state as husband and wife." Most courts will not see living with parents as satisfying this prong.

typically in texas you have to live together for 6 months, file for a "common law marriage" certificate. She has to start using the mans last name. I don't know about the age part of it though.

In most cases common law marriages do not exist, check with your state, and even if it does exist in your state generally the terms are around 7-10 years so i would have to say sorry :( no luck for you.
