You need to bathe during your cycle to stay fresh smelling. I find a shower to be more comfortable. I also shower with tampons in so I don't get blood on my towels or loofa. Try that. If you don't use tampons, you may get blood on the sponge but it'll wash out. I find baths very uncomfortable during my period.

Do whatever you feel is right
If you aren't happy using tampons, showers are less messy, but the water pressure in the bath usually stops you from "leaking" if you'd rather have a bath (although I'd recommend that you use a tampon - tampons soak up water, so aren't uncomfortable to remove after a bath!)
Baths can soothe cramps, so I'd recommend them for that time of the month tbh.

I prefer a shower... I really don't want to sit in a bath during that time... I also wear a tampon during the shower to avoid messes getting in and out... it might soak up some extra water, so you'll want to change it sooner than normal if you wear one in the shower...
and without a tampon in, yes you might see blood on your sponge or washcloth. Just rinse it out while you're in the hot water, and it shouldn't leave a stain.

shower. And don't ever use a sponge down there. It is too rough. Just use your fingers and water. And remember to only use soap on the outside NEVER on the inside. Don't take a bath unless you want to essentially bathe in period blood. No thanks.

well i suggest a shower, and sometimes its just inevitable that u will get blood on your sponge, its either that..or just rinse with warm water in the bath. u really have to keep fresh and clean down there, especially at the time of month

Yes. You most definitely should take a hot shower when you are on your period. Everything will wash away completely once you shower all the dirt off of your body, leaving you nice and clean.

don't take a bath unless
you stick a plug up inside of
you but since you just got your
period it would be less "scary"
with a shower. and yes you do
get blood on you're sponge but
it doesn't stain it comes right off.
hope that helps :))

You can take a bath or a shower. It won't be scarey in anyway.
