Not sure how much of the equation is under the sqrt.
If it is sqrt(4x-3)+2=7

sqrt(4x-3)=7-2
sqrt(4x-3) = 5
4x-3=25
4x=28
x=7

6x^2-12x=0, factor out the 6 on the left
6(x^2-2x)=0, divide both sides by 6
x^2-2x=0, add 2x to both sides
x^2=2x, divide by x
x=2
