Try eCrater.com. A little like eBay, but without the cost, you can have your own store with little effort. You will not have the flexibility of website design that you would with your own store but you gain from not having to mess around with programming.

I would even suggest using eBay rather than try to create your own site initially because managing an ecommerce website is a lot of effort. If you start to generate a good volume of sales, you will then have some money to invest in doing it more professionally.

I started my website with a freebie at http://Tripod.com, but I also used Ebay at the same time. Then, as the money started coming in, I left Ebay and upgraded to a paid site. My paid site is not on Tripod, but it's only 7 bucks a month, plus 9 bucks a year for 5 domain names plus a whole bunch of email accounts so I am myself@myself.com (That's not really the name)

You can also make a good looking site at http://geocities.com but the site builder is a little more complicated to work with.

You could also go to yahoo groups and see if there's an online selling group in your city.
