I'm terribly horrified of spiders, and death even though it's inevitable. And I don't like open doors. And there's always that fear in the back of my mind that I'm not gonna be successful in life. What are some of your fears????

I'm most afraid of people becoming complacent in the light of obvious injustices in the world. People are still homeless, hungry and sick. All while wars go on, and the term "bling" is added to the dictionary. Basic necessities are being priced beyond the common man's reach, all the while credit and debt is being repackaged so that we ignore the burdons. While we are preoccupied with "terror and war," our personal freedoms are being taken away with the stroke of a pen, yet we are no safer before or after. People have lives to live, yet live a noteworthyless life. We live and die, but is the world any better before we go? What matters to you?

There is no greater illusion than fear. When we don't see the self as self what do we have to fear?

Now with that being said, I'm far from being capable of not seeing myself as a self, and am therefore captivated by fear at times.

I would say that I have a fear of abandonment, emotional intimacy, and a fear of failure.

feisty black women! :P Just messing with you! I think I "feared" myself out years ago. Though I had a good scare a little over a month ago... my body did an odd thing.. leaked some fluid.. my immune system attacked it.. and I had a knot the size of a golf ball pop up.... that will make you "fear" for your health a little lol.

My biggest fear has been quelled somewhat by talking to my doctor, but I don't think it will ever go away. I'm afraid my bipolar medications will stop working and we won't be able to find new ones that do.
Aside from that, I'm afraid of creepy, crawly things, heights, and throwing up.

lol a petty fear - of getting to a till in a shop, them running throught all my things.... and then finding out i dont have enough money and have to put it all back.

fear. rejection from people. that i wont suceed. that people will be disappointed in me. of being left alone - as in family dying.

having said all that, they're not on my mind very often! but you've made me think.

1. Jellyfish. Why? You can't see them, than ZAMMO you get stung

2. Cybernetically enhanced zombie vampires. Why? Self-explanatory

3. Talking on the phone. Why? I can't guage how the other person is responding to my remarks. Creeps me out, almost as bad as 1 & 2, above.

surrendering my independence, upon realizing that a good looking woman could take better care of me, while watching some soaps and supporting her decision to enter the unforgiveing workforce...bringing home the paycheck and giving her all the emotional support she needs. peace out
