For ideas, check out http://www.lot-ek.com/ they are a firm that likes to re-use the containers to make various things. There is some pretty cool stuff on it.

Downside is insulating it, you'll either lose the aesthetic on the interior of exterior unless you chop up another container to make a sandwich. Oh, another one that I've run into while talking with friends about the idea are all the strange looks you'll get. I'd do it if I could though.

Shipping containers come in different sizes so as for cost, that's up to you but second hand ones that don't leak are in excess of £1000.00 + the transport and crane costs. Then you'll find your neighbours object to it being there and the council will be on your back. As for the rest, you can connect it to your home electricity supply for lighting and heating but when you close the door and play your games you will all die from asphyxiation. So.......... you'll need to build in a ventilation system etc etc, then you'll have Health & Safety after you with all their nonsense! Best just buy a cheap wooden garden shed and to hell with the neighbours until you get found out!

Not personally; but there are various companies throughout the country that do. I assume it's an individual thing. I personally would want at least 40 ft.
