and did you put yours up yet this year?
we got a real tree for the first time ever this year, it looks pretty, but we just put it up yesterday, and I'm having visions of pine needles all over the house by the time it's time to take it down ...

one thing's for sure, it's not as nice as the artificial one we usually use - I was standing next to it yesterday and it stabbed me in the butt. I swear, it just reached out a limb and did it on purpose.
that was NOT nice. Our old tree never stabbed me with a bunch of little needles ...

artificial. Those fresh trees are crazy. They DO just reach out and stab you!! Has it gotten Jack yet?? You better hope he doesn't start fencing with it! (Hide his sword!) Next thing you know your tree'll be less many branches, might not look right!

Artificial. My roommates & I are too poor to buy a new tree every year. We actually keep this fake one together & just haul it up & down the basement stairs in one piece too! Saves the time (that we don't have) & trouble of taking it apart & putting it back together HAHA.
When I was little we had a real one for a couple years at my parents house & yes it does leave pine needles EVERYWHERE!! Theres tons less if you keep it well watered & use some special plant food stuff for the tree.

I did the real tree thing for years. I got tired of the "needle" thing and after destroying two vacuum cleaners with them, decided to go with an artificial one. Not only does it not leave a mess, but just as pretty and no need to kill a tree for a couple of weeks of enjoyment. Not a tree hugger, just more environmentally conscious than previous years.
Enjoy your day.

depends on my parents mood and how much money we have to spend. generally we always had a real tree when i was growing up and actually believed in santa.. since i was 11 we've kind of varied it. if we don't get a real tree, we have a little plastic thing i picked up at the dump thats about 9 inches tall.. if we don't use that, we don't have a tree typically.
nope.
pine needles tend to stay near the base of the tree until you move it outside or wherever, then you have a trail that show were it was taken. just water it a lot.

Great question!
Real one every year! It goes up this Thursday! Yes the pine needles are a pain in the butt however the smell is wonderful!! And if you keep it healthy enough you won't have too much of a mess!!

Fake, but I do prefer a real one ... 'cause I love the smell of pine. After getting a thousand pine needles stuck in my foot (damn, that hurts!), I went and bought a fake one. I usually don't put our tree up till about 10 days before Christmas ... my cats love to climb it, and always break the decorations. :)

It's the first year we don't put up a real tree, but it started to be troublesome to find fir pins stuck in the corner of a room 4-5 months after Christmas.

we have an artificial tree inside our house. If u look closely at it you would see a little bit of white on the ends of "leaves".

We've been putting up a fake one for years. The real one's look nice at first but then they become a big hassle.

Artificial, I can't keep up with all the vacuuming needed with a real one. I haven't put it up yet, but I should get around to it soon.
I love Christmas.... =)
