dirty as is weed, and green floaty stuff? You can take a rake and clean off most of it. Then put some hay in the water, it is a natural way to clean up the water.

If it's a pond in the woods I wouldn't use a pond vac, couldn't anyway because you have no electric. Take a rake if it has green yucky stuff floating on it or in it. That's called algae. The easiest way to clean it is to plant what is called marginal water plants and provide shade and to put oxygenator plants in and floating plants.
That will help to filter out the the Yuck!
Below are a few names of plants
Parrot Feather
pickeral
cattails
These are some that grow fast and aren't too expensive.
Good Luck with your fort!

I'm not sure what you were thinking of, but I have never used, or needed, electricity when I clean a pond.

What kind of pond is it, and what were you wanting to do to it?

if it's electricity you need, drag a generator out there and don't start any forest fires!
