Hey, I'm doing a project for school in the first six chapters of this book. I need help finding 3 quotes which best represent the purpose of the novel. I also need to come to a consensus on what te "purpose" of the novel is. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You've read the first six chapters, I assume. Based on what you've read so far, what do you think was Vonnegut's purpose in writing the novel? Did he want to say that war is glorious and heroic? Did he want to say that war is regrettable but necessary? That it's morally wrong? That it's absurd? Did he want to say that Germans are evil and Americans are good (or vice versa)? Did he want to say that God is watching over us and everything is going to be OK? Did he want to say that we should all love each other and stop fighting? Did he want to say something about the meaning (or meaninglessness) of human life? Or maybe you think his purpose was something I haven't mentioned here. In any case, what are some passages from the book that support your conclusion about the author's intentions?
