ok, so I am a 7th grader at this middle school. These 3 girls, there popular and there kinda my friends. Not really tho. There not the most popular but they are. It's hard to explain. Anyways, they smoke. Ciggerates! there only 12!!!!!!!!! Does this sound weird to you? Should i still be there friends? Remember, there only 12 and 13 years old!

for people who are wondering where they get them from, they steal them from their parents. Can you believe that? Also, why do people smoke? What does it do. I'm not saying I wanna smoke, I'm just very curious.

Tell them to read the bible. It will really help them to be closer to the word of God than to terrible things like that. Yuck. Only be friends with them if your heart and mind tells you to! Have a great day! =)

12 is young but thats how society is now. The age is geting younger and younger for starting to smoke ciggarettes. Its your choice really but if you start you have more of a chance of being addicted for life the younger you start, and your YOUNG. you shouldnt do it because they are. There obviously a bad influence and your not even going to know these people in a few years. Your going to be off with your career in college, so dont worry about popularity and just do what you do cause in the end your actions at this part of your lfie will affect EVERYTHING and im sure you dont wanna loose a lung. :)
Oh and im 14 and have started smoking, im already addicted

No it is not weird, it is sad. Many kids start smoking young to act cool & to seem older.
Only you can decide if you want to be friends with them. If is a tough choice if they a part of the popular crowd and you are being accepted in that group.
If you do stay friends with them, DO NOT let them convinece you to start smoking.

Thats way too young. Anyway, i think that as long as u dont give in, u can still be friends with them. Unless they pressure u to smoke too, then they are not your real friends. So if they respect the fact that you dont want to smoke, i think it's fine to be friends with them.

I started smoking cigarettes when I was 11, sadly, due to peer pressure. I am addicted now and I can't stop [I'm almost 16]. You can be friends with them, but do not smoke, it is soo bad for you and you will regret it later. Not only that but after awhile you start having breathing problems.

I would ditch them. If you hang around with them, they might want you to smoke with them (peer- pressure). Chances are you will. Smoking kills your lungs and you develope serious problems when you get older. I would hang around with a different crowd of people. My guy friends ( We're in 11th grade) can't stand it when people smoke. They smell gross, their teeth are yellow, and we know that we will live longer if we don't smoke.

don't try to be others friends to impress them. leave them alone. let them smoke fags. get some real friends who'll go down with you in every situation possible. but you don't want them to hate you so just act normal towards them but not friendly. it's not normal to smoke and 12/13 years old. they'll grow old and wrinkly. =]

honestly, its not that weird, when i was in 7th grade, there were people a year younger than me smoking ciggarettes, and not just ciggarates, they smoked pot too, they even came to school high, you should stay freinds with them jsut as long as you know you wont do any of it if they ask you to
