It’s become a habit now
To speak my thoughts in verse
This state of mind must occur
As cure for some small curse
For, when I speak in metaphor,
Although the words are true
Not one of those who reads the work

'coffee' - i disagree. how woudl you define 'poetic' language? this poem contains emotion (for me at least), and that's what's important in my mind.

It's Good Start, However Needs Work..
The Flow Is Fairly Good,
But The Rhyming Sounds Forced In Some Spots,
The Line "As cure for some small curse" Makes Me Cringe.
Maybe Change It Around.

that was truly amazing, not to make you too pride-full or anything like that. very few poems on this page flow well and have as deep a meaning to them as yours. if you don't mind i am going to add you to my list of favs so i can hear more of your poetry.

rhyme rather than poetry. in poetry the language has to be poetic rather than just rhyming.
