Smart is knowledge.
Wise/Wisdom is how to use the knowledge.

That's what God means by the Tree of Knowledge.
Man became knowledge-ble, but not any wiser. Eg : Nuclear power to generate energy -> nuclear bomb on nagasaki and hiroshima. Guns for protection -> Guns to kill.
And King Solomon asked for wisdom, not knowledge nor wealth.
So men is smart, but not wise. It's just a saying.

With wisdom, you can be smart, so I rather choose wisdom.

Smart means book smart. Wise means you make good life decisions. Smart people learn from their own mistakes. Wise people learn from other's mistakes, and don't make them.

Smart is learning facts.

Wisdom is learning by experience.

I'd rather be wise. Anybody can memorize facts. Not everyone can apply what they know to learn from their experiences.
