Will a polyester hoodie shrink? Or, how can I make it shrink?

I got a really nice hoodie as a gift, but it's one size too big. There were none left in my size at the store. Can I somehow shrink it?

the drier should do it!!!

Cotton shrinks, polyester doesn't shrink. Maybe you will grow in to it it.

Wash it, and then put the heat higher than you normally would on your dryer and then dry it longer than usual.

Always works. ;)

Also washing and re-washing with time will always shrink it.
