Let's face it, the PAC 10 retains none of it's former glory. OK, maybe USC is decent every now and then, but look at who they play! Half of their schedule involve teams with less than .500 records.

Why can't we take USC out of their baby conference, see how they play against some REAL teams (I don't think they will be as good personally). Put them in the Big 12. Trade them with Baylor.

Actually, I am amazed. Even with the easiest schedule of any "good" top-ten team this year (except MAYBE Hawai'i), they still managed to not win their conference, even though it is practically handed to them every year. How sad.

This way, they can quit automatically getting the #1 ranking every year, based on the fact that they went 11-1 the previous year, after loosing to Oregon, and saying they are a great team for only losing 1 game.

I'd bet any money that in any given year, Texas or Oklahoma (or any other decent team, for that matter) could beat them.

What do you think?

Word up, the PAC-10 is weak, all it ever is, is the "USC show", they are not a tough conference, like the Big 12 or SEC or the Big Ten even. Weak Conference okay team.

USC did win the Pac-10 with 2 losses.
Oklahoma won the Big 12 with 2 losses.
LSU won the SEC with 2 losses
WVU won the Big East with 2 losses and
VaTech won the ACC with 2 losses....
And OSU won the Big 10 with 1 loss...of those 11 losses only 1 of those was outside the conference in question... that was Va Tech losing to LSU...(can't really count that one, someone had to lose)

Point is the 6 BCS conference champions all had losses within their conference.. so there was some competitiveness.

Big 12, SEC no stronger than the other BCS conferences
(ok, maybe all the other 5 are stronger than Big East)

Look at inter conference results, and non conference schedules all very similar... about the only thing that makes any of them stand out is the SEC and Big 10 both having 10 bowl eligible members this year.

Bashing conferences is a lame exercising. there is one greater team in the massive 12 and SEC than the massive Ten. There are 2 greater beneficial than in the percentTen. yet, because of the fact the ACC is demonstrating, that would not consistently mean greater = greater advantageous. Alabama has truly benefited from the 12-team orientation this 365 days. If the league had not prolonged, and that they performed a time table such as the percentTen, Alabama could have ALREADY performed Florida AND Vanderbilt somewhat of Arkansas and the two Western Kentucky or Arkansas State. Then, human beings have the audacity to whinge that Alabama has to play Florida in a championship. Lame. besides, The percentTen's maximum probable boost applicants are Utah and BYU. The others you point out lack the components, history and long-term song-checklist. the massive Ten will probably upload Missouri, Notre Dame or some college in the Northeast (could one commit to the upward push needed).

If memory serves me right...Arizona State reached #5 in the BCS late in the season. Oregon was ranked in the top 5 for 3/4 of the season. Cal was a pre season top 10 and beat Tenessee badly.
Notre Dame and Nebrasaka were sheduled on USC's non-conf schedule 3 years ago when both programs were much better.
I dont think the Pac 10 was the strongest conf this season but it sure wasnt the weakest. You play who is in your conf and there is nothing you can do when programs like UCLA or Washington are down.

Miami has a down program right now as does Florida State, Texas, Nebraska, Michigan, Arkansas, Alabama, Auburn...

All powewrhouses who will rise to the top again.

I think your argument seems to be a little SEC homer influenced.

PAC 10 is still a decent conference and is still a conference with better teams than conferences like MAC, Conference USA, Mountain West, etc.
The more over rated conference is the Big 10, where teams like OSU and Michigan will manage to lose big every time in post season.

First off, your an idiot.

Cal killed a team that played for the SEC Title.

USC did win the conference.

LSU was #1 twice this year and lost it both times to an unranked team.

Texas and Oklahoma? Texas has beat USC once out of five times. Oklahoma? You saw what happened the last time they played, right? So what given day are you talking about?

Every conference has its ups and downs... a couple years ago they were saying the same thing about the Big East after Miami and BC took off, yet they are still a strong conference.

PAC-10 is better than big twelve. And PAC-10 teams for the most part win their bowl games.

once the BCS gets a playoff all will see how underrated the PAC-10 is.
