The only reason i need some advice is because i have a 20month old son at home and i hate feeling this way i think my sickless and moods are rubbing off on him cause he really been actting up. im not really throwing up it's just weakness and alot of back pains and not being able to eat. I take vitamins but they make me sick too so is there any natural things i can take i hate not being my 100% for my son he not eattting much either and it's not fair to him.

Yours sounds like a typical pregnancy. Stop taking your vitamins if they make you sick. Just eat healthily.

My nausea lasted until I was 20 weeks. Just reassure your son that you are ok, just feeling tired and sick because that is what pregnancy does to you.

Pregnancy is no walk in the park. You will get through it though.

If there ever was a cry baby it was me with my second child!! It was a "bad pregnancy" from day one...no, I'm not exaggerating! I ended up in the ER because the implantation was SOOO painful that they thought I had appendicitis. LOL It only got worse from there. I had morning sickness from the day I conceived to the day I gave birth. I slept propped up for nine months just so I wouldn't throw up! To top it off I too had a young one at home to care for. She was only 11 months when we got pregnant! At the time I felt like such a horrible mom. I couldn't even pick her up some days. I felt like I was depriving her of so much. However, she's 4 now and is the best child. She is so well behaved (I think because she almost "knew" that mommy needed her to be good for me) is SOOO smart and independent. Things really were pretty miserable for me then but they couldn't be better now! What's that saying? "This too will pass." It will, I promise!

I took a prenatal by TwinLab. They don't have any extra crap in them...colors, preservatives, et. They were the only ones that didn't make me feel sick. Also, there is a liquid prenatal vitamin...you would probably have to get it at a heath food store but it is supposed to be really gentle on the stomach.

Unfortunately, you aren't going to be 100% for your son. He will pick up on your moods, all kids do. The only thing you can do is make sure you are eating right. (You should be getting at least 75-100 grams of protein a day.) This should help your energy levels a little. Good Luck!

Some people just have hard pregnancies. I also got sick with prenatal vitamins. Try taking them at night before you go to bed. Also try getting some more rest. Take naps and go to bed early. Do your best to keep up with your son. Make a special time of day where just you and him spend time together and play. If your too drained maybe watch a movie together or read a book.
I know it seems hard now, but in a few years this will all be just a faint memory:)

well I have a 3.5 year old and a 20 month old with the terrible 2's and i am 17.5 weeks pregnant and constantly sick but You just have to deal with it and I am only very young I had my first at 16 so you do the math. What you need to do is try and get him into daycare for 2 days a week or something like that so it's not bothering you so much. Where I am we don't have a daycare so I just have to deal with it and it's ok it will get better though

I understand your feelings, but it is perfectly normal to still be sick in your 19th week. All pregnancies are different and while a lot of women don't get sick after the first trimester, just as many get sick at different times. It all depends on the woman. If you feel like there is nothing you can do, then talk to your doctor. Maybe he or she can suggest something to help you be at 100% for your son.

I hadn't lost mine by 19 weeks. I was at 24 weeks before it went away. My husband was asking everyone about it. He kept reading that it would be over at 12-13 weeks so he got really worried when that point came and passed. I wouldn't take any medications for it, but he finally talked to the doctor and pleaded with me so that he could see me feel better and I got put on zofran. ( I really think he was just sick of hearing and seeing me vomit at all hours of the day and night. ) It is approved for use by pregnant women and doesn't have any icky side effects like drowziness. I started out at a low dose and that was enough for me combined with vitamin b6. You may want to try just the vitamin first. The b6 and b12 vitamins help immensly with nausea! Talk to your doc. Trust me, you'll be glad you did!

Hey there...Yea, I know it's hard, I couldnt imagine having a child during this pregnancy cause mine is horrible too. I just sleep all the time, get tired an hour after being awake. I feel more sorry for my husband, just me not being able to do anything and he misses that. I was sick too till 6 months and sometimes get nausea feeling. Good luck...I know it's hard and every pregnancy is different!

1] forget about the vitamins for a week or so.
2] eat only quality foods - no junk food at all
3] avoid all spicy, greasy, creamed or gravied foods
4] try: Without a drink!
instant oatmeal made with water only [ cinnamon, or maple, - no fruit junks ]
small portions of canned fruits - peaches, pears, etc.
bland plain veggies - corn, peas, green beans
plain whole wheat toast, with honey on it
baked potatoes
noodles with tiny bit of butter, and parmesan cheese
work your way up to small portions of baked/broiled meats
5] then drink what sounds good about 1/2 hour later - water, decaf tea, juices, broth
6] be sure to eat every three hours or so - an empty stomach is not your friend!
7] carry hard candies [ lifesavers, mints, sourballs ] in case you can't eat on time

If you are eating your meals with him, you can try eating slower to give him time to eat more if he's just quitting eating when you do. I can't be much help with the morning sickness I had it the entire pregnancy all 3 times even the day I went into labor. Good luck you're half way there.
