Even if we had a complete economic collapse that DIDN'T take the rest of the world down with us (unlike the Great Depression) we would still be a major military power. Really, either a Civil War or a series of Natural Disasters that greatly damage a large portion of the US infrastructure is what it would take to keep us from being at the very least ONE of the main players in terms of power. And there's no way to predict such things.

Your right to some degree that all things end,but i`m also certain the United States will probably share the strongest nation role soon.The United States won`t be a second or third world nation but militarily and economic wise there will be a shift .

Everything eventually comes to an end. I see China as a rising power, but I would also argue that the US, Cananda and the EU might band together at some point. But this could be 50 to 100 years from now.
