If your name is Alexandra you can chose from all of these nicknames. I go by Alex to my friends but once I started college and my search for internships, etc, I started going by Alexandra to dress it up a bit. Plus I love girls who have tomboyish names, I think it is cute.

I like Alex and Aly.
And I like Aly spelled with a Y.
It gives the name more closure.....plus then it doesn't remind me of Prince Ali Ababwa.

I like Alley or Ali. I know of two Lexi's who are named Alexandra, but that is very popular now- perhaps too popular. I like Alley better just for that reason.
