Wii anounced that "they are NOT in competition with Microsoft OR Sony" =L

Personally... ps3- BUT THIS IS ONLY BECAUSE THEY HAVE MGS4.=Y

P.S. Be a Patriot here. We invented video games. And PS, Sony's CEO is an AMERIACAN! He let the PS3 come out knowing everything

The reason why it blew up Xbx Dreamcast AND N64 is because THEY STILL SELL GAMES FOR THE FREAKING CONSOLE!!!!! PS1 died near 2006 that's over 10 YEARS

N64 1996-2001 That's 5 years!!!
Xbox 2000-2006 6 years
Dreamcast About 2 years + remake consoles

I'm with the PS3 all the way. If you're talking about quality and life-span, the PS3 is the console. Xbox 360 fanboys will never admit the truth, so they will say that the 360 has better quality when everybody with a brain knows that that's a lie because hundreds Xbox 360's die everyday due to overheating or other hardware issues.

And 2008 will be the PS3's year in terms of exclusive games, so the PS3 will be the better console. The Xbox 360 is just a game console for people that want to play a bunch of games "now" but the PS3 is a console that will lead the way into the future.

Xbox 360 is the best system out there right now for all theese reasons.
Good graphics, better than ps3.
Xbox live is the best market place for downloadable content, the Play Station network cant compete with it.
Xbox 360 has over 150 games, PS3 under 60.
Xbox 360 has more variants of the system to choose from, core system, premium system, eliete, H3 System, arcade system. Plus the Xbox 360 is customizable in every aspect, interchangable face plates, Decals for the outside, the menu in the xbox 360 is customizable as well, you can change the background, the themes and everything. In my opinion I think xbox 360 is better than the PS3. Besides the 360 has Halo 3 on its side, what does PS3 have that can compete....Nothing!!!! Xbox 360 RULES!!!!

360's games are better. PS3's got better grafix. Personal preference is the biggest key factor. I don't know a single PS3 owner and ave never been a fan of Sony PS anything. For the price, the Xbox gets you in the door cheaper but you constantly have to buy 'this and that', PS3 has most things included. You'll pay about the same or more for the Xbox in the long run so games/gameplay/features are what sold me on the Xbox!

the 360. it has way more better games.
Gears of wars
Bioshock
Halo 3
those are just some.
and for people that say that the PS3 is new technology, FYI!!!!!! the technology is atcually one year outdated due to the fact that it had a late launch. and only the 40 GB mediocre version of the PS3 can atcually play PS2/PS games.
and as for any good games for PS3, only metal gear solid 4 and gran turismo 5 but even then, are in the near future.
and resistance is just a mediocre version of gears of war so there.
the 360 has twice the RAM of the PS3(512 for 360) which means games load faster, run smoother. and Xbox has Xbox live.
and don't be afraid of the red ring. it doesn't happen as much as the media says it does and even if it does, free repair!
bottom line:
Xbox 360. More games, better graphics and a better deal.

PS3 totally as far as quality goes and then some.. you can play all ps1 and ps2 games with the simple $15 purchase of an adapter and use all of your memeory cards also! Xbox 360 u can only play certain ones...Simply the ps3 is the best...

PS3 is better quality because it does not overload and blow up. It also has more power than the Xbox 360. Soon, better games will come out too.

Xbox 360 has only First Person Shooters.. THAT'S ALL THEIR GOOD FOR.

I like the Ps3 for a couple of reasons:
Sony actually listens to their consumers..When the Ps3 came out we grumbled it had no Rumble. Now in spring 2008 DUALSHOCK 3, is coming with Rumble and Sixaxis.

Does Microsoft listen to customers? No... Since their Xbox 360 failures 5% of the time (1 out of 20) all they did was extend the warranty to three years...WOW...

Everyone I know is on their second Xbox 360 cause the first one broke.

Xbox 360 hardware woes
Microsoft really hit it out of the park when it came to the Xbox 360's software—consider the slick Dashboard, the persistent Achievements and Gamertags, and the top-notch Xbox Video Marketplace. But the actuall 360 hardware is a disaster: chronically glitchy, prone to overheating, and all too susceptible to the "Red Ring of Death," which signals a critical hardware failure. Indeed, I'm already on my second Xbox 360 in barely a year, and just about every 360 owner I know has had to send their console back to Redmond for repair. In June, Microsoft finally did the right thing and owned up to the shoddy state of its hardware, extending the Xbox 360's warranty to a full three years and taking a $1 billion charge in the process.

Thats hilarious now lets get down to the comparison.

People don't understand..prices JUST THINK
I'm going buy their highest price models..
Playstation 3 is $599 for an 80gig...OK EXPENSIVE WE KNOW
Xbox 360 is $449 for a Elite...

By the year 2009, excluding games, and including Internet fees you would have paid..$600 dollars for your Xbox 360 to use all it features...

To me it's the same price, you can see it anyway you want but it is.

Ah there is a lot of good and bad between both of them. If you are a movie lover and do not want to dish out $200-400 on a HD DVD Player which you will probably need by 2009, then Ps3 is the way to go because the DVD player that's built in it is incredible and next gen. If games are what you want and you want to play online constantly and compete with others all over the world, I would say the Ps3 because it's 100% free online and Xbox 360 is $50 a year for online so you're pretty much paying the difference between the price in about 3 years.

All right lets get down to opinions. When it comes down to technology, I leave it the Asians and not Americans. Windows Vista is a disaster and proves Microsoft makes a lot of mistakes.

Both consoles are buggy because they were rush to the shelves but Xbox 360 failure rate is higher than Ps3. Xbox 360 currently has this thing called 'red ring of death' which means your gaming system is finished unless you send it to Microsoft and they fix it.

If you send it to Microsoft, you have to wait about a month and half to get it back and it could get stolen in the mail. A lot of people aren't trusthworthy.

One good thing I can say about Microsoft is that they are very good at persuading. They pay companies a lot of money to keep games exclusive to their system, games like Gears of War, Bioshock, and Halo. These games make people buy their system but in the long run Sony has good credibility.

Xbox 360 is up in sales but Sony has always been reliable in the years to come. The games and equipment they will dish out in unmatched and Xbox 360 cannot compete.

I can name great upcoming games exclusive for the Ps3 and I can name great games exclusive for the Xbox.

Is the Ps3 worth the money...YES..it is it's worth every penny and its now $400 dollars for a 40 gigabyte version, better than it was a year ago. Although Xbox 360 is cheap in 3 years you will pay more than you did for the Ps3 minus the games.

The new 40gig version is less buggy than the 360 and probably won't have any problems.

When Playstation 2 came out I remember sitting around months on end waiting for a good games then Sony came rushing to shelves with great stuff.

Metal Gear Solid 2 & 3
God of War
Gradius
Manhunt
Devil May Cry series
Grand Theft Auto series

Everytime I finished a game another one came out..

It always been like this, Developers had 2 years to dish out stuff for Xbox 360 and learn it's components. Of course Xbox 360 is going to be everyone favorite now.

But don't count Sony out...they've always pulled the rabbit out the hat. By December of 2008, Ps3 will conquer all once more.

People forgot that Xbox 360 had a FULL YEAR but the Ps3 is still right behind them. A full year so of course Xbox 360 games will be better, of course there is more people online, and of course people will discredit the Ps3.

Sony has never failed when it comes to games. When the Playstation came out (Sony's first system), it blew Nintendo and Dreamcast sales out the water. It took Xbox 2 systems to catch up and get it right and they still haven't.

The Xbox 360 have a 5% failure rate.. That is 1 out of 20. If condoms had a %5 failure rate, the U.S. population would surpass China.

People say Xbox 360 has a mix array of games but their best games top 3 is a First Person Shooter..Thats not a mix array people..

If you're going buy the system on the base of games.. pick up a GameInformer magazine from a Supermarket or game store and just see what games you like. Good luck.

neither...the PS3 looks like an overblown fax machine and is expensive as hell, not to mention the small library of exclusives, and microsoft is now losing money on the 360 which means less games in the future.

But if I had to pick a side......360!
