6 hours is best for me, unless I've had an extremely stressful day.....then more is better.

I sleep less now that I'm older but I believe most people need seven to nine hours sleep to function properly.Sleep gives your body a chance to rest and make any necessary repairs, not just from illness and injury, but from the stress and strain of everyday life.

Yes it's true when you get older you can. When you really young they want you to get nine. But a study showed that you should only sleep 7 1/2 hours . I don't know what's wrong with the extra thirty minutes.LOL

Generally it is recommended for good health. Many people -I'm one- can function just fine on 5-6 hours sleep.

Children need more. The older you get, you need less. I know many of my coworkers prefer around 6. That's what I get and I'm never tired.

i think it's up to the individual to determine how much sleep is best for you.
