where the hell is seattle? =p just playing, its because youre stuckin northwestern united states plus youre pacific time plus your team has no tradition!! getting to the superbowl once in the last few years doesnt count to get the media attention of the likes of New England (AFC Powerhouse and winner of a few recent superbowls) or Dallas (NFC Powerhouse who won a few SuperBowls of their own in the 90's) and lastly Green Bay(Lombardi and Brett Favre, need i say more?)

Its almost like an east coast bias thing. The fact that they have had a passable season hasn't helped them much. If you truly want to compare them to NE, Dallas, or Green Bay you have to look at the seasons that they are having.

NE is on a quest for an undefeated season, making them only the 2nd team in the entire NFL history to accomplish that feat. Green Bay is having a magical resurgence of one of the games most energetic quarterbacks in Favre. Dallas is showing that last year wasn't a fluke and that they deserve the attention.

I would understand if you got really upset because the media types were going after San Francisco or even Miami. All the Seahawks need to do is put more teams away quickly and then their media absence will end. Until then, stick with local coverage.

I totally agree, I think the Seattle Seahawks get to little and they are the most underrated team in the NFL. They are playing great this year with a 8-4 record which is on pace to hit 11-5 this year. They also are the leaders in their division.

You made a good point my mand.

The fact that they are in the Pacific Northwest, and out of the media spotlight, they play in a relatively weak division, and they are not blowing people out when they win.

Its too bad, they're my favorite NFL team, but until they win a Super Bowl, they won't be media darlings.

As in many areas of news reporting, there is an "East Coast Bias"....only teams in the eastern third of the country are newsworthy. (...and there are some pathetic teams in that area!) The Seahawks will suprise some of those narrow minded writers in the playoffs!!

the seahawks havent done anything special, nothing controversy and therefore are considered boring. A decent team that will probably win the west, but nothing to write home about.

Part of it is their inconsistency this season - especially on the road - and part of it is the fact that they play in the Pacific Northwest.

Don't worry, if they make noise in the playoffs they'll get noticed. There was a lot of buzz about them in their Super Bowl season, but they kind of dropped off after that.

Because they are not that good a team. They win 1 then lose 1

Because Seattle has rarely been more than a mediocre team.
