You should call yourselves "The Doomed," as in "doomed for failure," because if you're hoping to be a musician and you can't muster up enough creativity to come up with a good band name, then that's what you'll be.

Depends on the type of band... 'Rise and fall' is pretty cool. You could always go with a variant of that, like 'Rise/fall' etc.

to be honest w/ you, rise and fall reminds too much of Rise Against (which is an awesome band, don't get me wrong) but how about "Rise of the Fallen"?
