How can I keep my boss from knowing what Internet sites I've been to ? Do not visit any sites on your computer at work that your are not supposed to . You know better - and deceiving your boss by hiding your " sin " is just plain morally wrong . You could delete the search history in your web browser or use a proxy server . But that is no guarantee , if your computer has monitoring software installed , like a key logger - you will end up busted . Surf at home on your own time , that's the best way ...

Open Internet Explorer, click Tools, come down to Internet Options, there is a panel in Browsing History to delete cookies, temporary Internet files etc, click Delete, this opens another panel where you delete Cookies, Temporary Internet Files and Browsing History. Click OK.

Common question..you need to find a free proxy website. I don't know of any working ones off hand so ask around to find a good working one. It is a website that lets you surf the Internet inside of the website, so the only thing it will save is the proxy site you went to. You can also go to tools and options and delete your browsing history.

Well that depends... if it's your computer, your network and your time, then your boss would have to get some kind of search warrant to legally invade your privacy. Otherwise you probably have grounds for a lawsuit.

If on the other hand it's you employer's computer OR network OR time (ie during your paid work hours), what you do is work product of your employer and they not only own it, they're legally responsible to know what you're doing and you employer may have grounds for a lawsuit...

On your internet explore icon right click, then select properties from the drop down menu. Under browsing history you can delete the files there to clear your history.

your boss has no business on your personal computer. However, if it is a work computer, you are outta luck. The business has every right to monitor the usage of its property.

Don't surf the net while you're at work. That's not what your work computer is for.
Most work computer systems are automatically checked for non-work surfing as a safety precaution against viruses and spyware. Your office emails are not private either.
Be smart. Do your surfing at home.
