Of course pressing harder works everyone knows that walking towards the tv works as well but for best results press the burron harder while walking towards the tv you will never have to buy another battery in your life.

Oh, yeah. I press harder, get closer to the television, and BANG the remote on something...all in hopes of getting it to work. There's something about changing the batteries that pis ses me off.

I get a new battery or remote
It's that simply
Go beyond pressing harder or walking closer to the TV

I press it harder and walk closer. I also rub the batteries and take them out and put them back in again! I generally then swear, and in extreme circumstances, I stand up and turn the tv over by the button on the tv set!

the only thing that pressing harder on the buttons will do, is wear out the electronic contacts inside the remote, eventually causing you to have to replace the remote entirely
you will be better off to just change the batteries

i think walking closer definately helps because the signal is weak-but pressing harder is like pressing the button for a lift 20 times when once is enough!

If you press it harder it wont work, but if you walk closer to the tv it might, since the infrared signal is weaker and walking closer to the tv will make it receive it, but since you're already close to the tv, just change the channels manually.

I never get up and get closer to the tv, but I do press harder....why is that?
That is just like vacuuming, it doesn't pick up something, you bend, pick it up and look at it and then put it back down and run over a couple of more times until it does suck it up.

I don't really watch tv but when if the battery is dead you can't really be sure of that so yeah I do push harder. I hope that maybe the remote is just malfunctioning.
