Not really unless we know what kind of tree it is.

Also you should only be fertilizing during the growing season when your plant/tree is actively growing. That means in the spring/summer because right now most plants (even if you don't have snow where you live) are slowing down and not growing much.

The whole point of bonsai is to keep the plant stunted and small. Fertilizer increases growth. Fish Emulsion is a good source of nitrogen. Here is some info: http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=bonsai+care&fr=ush-ans

use a " compost tea", made by composting and then straining water through the composted material and using the water to water the tree., it fertilizes the trees without burning the roots or adding to the biomass that the trees are growing in.
