Is this some kind of spam that I need to be careful of, I forwarded the email to the Network Manager at work but have heard no more, I put the email address in to Google and quite a few hits came up, I was wondering if anyone else out there had received the same email or if anyone knew anymore about it! It was from someone whose name began with V and the email was a .ru one.

Snopes.com - a great site. In general it's best to treat ALL begmail like a scam, cause it probably is. Never, ever give money or any persoal information (no matter how official it looks - even from your bank) to anyone in email.

Your email mail address might be close to someone he knows and could have accidentally typo'd it to you. I wouldnt worry much about it.
