I'm writing a powerpoint presentation for a training workshop on Friday. One aspect of the training is looking at filing electronic document (i.e. using folders and sub-folders properly). I'd like to 'show' my folders - can I do this through powerpoint (i.e. through a screen-grab of my documents or something) or do I have to come out of powerpoint and navigate through my documents?

Hi,

It's always risky to show your own files and folders in a live setting. I suggest you follow up on your hunch to take screen shots of them and put those pictures into PowerPoint.

To take screen shots:
Mac: Use the keyboard and press Option+Apple+4 then drag across the area of the screen you wish to capture. When you let go a picture file is added to your desktop.

Windows: Press the Print Screen button on the keyboard. Nothing will seem to happen, but the screen is now on the clipboard. In PowerPoint use Edit > Paste or control+V to put the screen into the presentation.
