Taking the safe assumption that the Patriots would win over Baltimore tonight, Pittsburg would be playing them in still somewhat meaningful of a game for New England. This is because there is no way for them to lock up first seed prior to that game, therefore it still has some implications. It is possible, however unlikely they could lock up first seed at that game if indy loses next weekend but I dont see that happening. Which means the Jets game will be for first seed. After that they have the dolphins and giants, and it is hard to say how long they will keep starters in for those two games. I could see either team winning those games because for New England they wont mean too much. I dont think Bill Belichick cares as much about being 16-0 as he does winning the superbowl so those two games are the games I would say the opposition have the best chances. As far as playoffs, New England will stomp through the playoffs, Indy, Pittsburg whoever might as well not show and save themselves some humiliation because the Patriots bring it in the Post Season.

i think they got their wake-up call vs Philly
I dont think Pittsburgh has a chance they havent proven to be legit contenders they have played 2 teams over .500 in Seattle and Cleveland
Cleveland W 34-7
Buffalo W 26-3
San Fran W 37-16
at Arizona L 14-21
Seattle W 21-0
bye
at Denver L 28-31
at Cincy W 24-13
Baltimore W 38-7
Cleveland W 31-28
at NY Jets L 16-19
Miami W 3-0
Cincinnati W 24-10
at New England 4:15 pm
Jacksonville 1:00 pm
at St. Louis 8:15 pm
at Baltimore
to only put up 3 points on a winless Dolphins team granted the field was aweful but they did move the ball Hynes Ward had 8 catches for 88 yards Willie Parker still had 81 yards on the ground Rothlesberger had 165 yards passing and they couldnt score , Im sorry but i am 1 thats not buying intot he Steelers to me they are the biggest Frauds at 9-3

The Colts did a good job of making them sweat. A Colt's team with healthy players could certainly beat them. I thought it was pretty funny how Philly was able to hold them. I like Philly, but they are horrible this year. For the Patriots to come that close to losing to them had to be a bit embarrassing, which is why I would imagine you will see lots of scoring by the Patriots tonight. I expect Tom Brady to still be throwing TD passes in the 4th quarter even if the game is far out of reach, to make sure everyone knows they are still dominant.

The Steelers end their streak next week. Then they might lose later in the season to the Giants because they will be playing the backups most of the game and Giants will be fighting for a playoff spot, so the Pats will either go 16 - 0 or 14 - 2.

Unless they run into some serious injury problems, I just don't see anyone beating them. The Colts gave them their best shot, the Pats played bad and had a franchise record for penalty yards in a game......and still won. The Eagles gave them a game last week, but the great teams always win the close ones.

Steelers are the only team I can think of. Eli is a hack (see the Vikings game and yesterdays game). The Dolphins can't beat the Jets, and the Jets are going to get crushed because Belichick is going to be all over Mangini

I think the only team that can beat them is Indianapolis. They kept it close last time, and they're an excellent squad, but it will be tough to win in Foxboro in January.
As for making them sweat, I think the Steelers could do it if they get pressure on Brady. I was surprised, though, to see that they didn't pressure Palmer much last night....I guess they missed Polamalu.

I used to think it was Pittsburgh, but they are making too many mistakes, and that's the kiss of death with this year's Patriots. I'd have to say Indy is the only real threat, but I've got a sneaking suspician that the Jaguars are going to surprise some people in the playoffs this year (cough) Indy (cough)
